Throughout 2010 the ZINE’S MATE SHOP will be a fixture at Vacant. We are constantly accepting applications from anyone interested in participating. We will review applications and renew our stock every three months. Application information below!
APPLICATION CONDITIONS
Before submitting your application, please carefully read the conditions below. By applying to participate, you are accepting these conditions and agree to be bound by them. Should you have any questions or suggestions, please contact info@zinesmate.org
SALES
Publications are to be supplied as a sale-or-return consignment, sales terms will be 50% to the publisher 50% to ZINE’S MATE. Any expenses incurred, such as the shipping of books (including return shipping) and transaction fee for payment via bank transfer, are the responsibility of the participant.
PAYMENT
We will clear balances after the end of each quarter.
SELECTION PROCESS
Following your application, in some cases, the selection committee may request sample copies for the purpose of the selection process.
SUBMISSION & SELECTION
We will review submitted titles every three months.
We will review up to five titles per applicantant per quarter. Any submissions of more than five titles will not be considered.
Following your application, in some cases, the selection committee may request sample copies of your publications for the purpose of the selection process.
We do not accept titles previously exhibited at the shop, send us new ones!
We may decline to carry some or all of the titles you submit. We will not answer any questions regarding the selection process.
We will use the submitted sample copies as display copies. We may discontinue carrying exiting titles at the end of any given quarter.
Please apply at anytime, but if you want to apply for a specific quarter, please do so according to the deadlines listed below.
Quarter 1: Late January to Late March, (submission deadline January15th)
Quarter 2: Early April to Late June, (submission deadline March 15th)
Quarter 3: Early July to Late September, (submission deadline June 10th)
Quarter 4: Early October to Late December
(submission deadline September 15)

8. Please list titles, authors, and retail prices. We accept up to 5 publications per applicant per quarter. Please include tax in the retail price you specify. Tax is charged at 5%.

Material for the Website
Please supply a short text about yourself and an image.
Text – Maximum 150 words
Image – Jpg, no bigger than 800×800 pixels, 72 dpi
The image should be the cover of one of the publications submitted. We may use the image for publicity purposes.
APPLY IN PERSON
We are also accepting applications delivered in person to NOW IDeA by UTRECHT. To do so, please bring finished sample(s) of your publication(s) and provide the information listed above (images to be supplied at a later date by email, upon request).
